Frère Independent & Elga Wimmer PCC are proud to present the second edition of Open Portfolio at the Chelsea Art Museum. A pool of selected emerging artists from around the globe will share directly with the public their most recent art works. All works will be unique, original, and challenging. Curator Elga Wimmer will lead a selection committee of contemporary art specialists. For 3 days artists present their work at the museum. At the end of the 3 days the artists will leave a selection of their works at the museum creating a unique exhibition resulting from the 3-day salon and interaction with the public.
At the end of the 3 days the work selected will stay up on the walls for another month. Producers Elga Wimmer and Thierry Alet introduce here a new and dynamic way of promoting art. Open Portfolio is not just a show, an art fair or a biennial. It is a new format allowing for more proximity between the artists and the public at large.

The Chelsea Art Museum is located at 556 W. 22nd St., NY NY Between 10th and 11th Ave.
Museum Hours are Tues-Sat 11am to 6pm
Thursday 11am to 8pm
Closed Sunday and Monday
The Salon is July 22, 23 and 24, 2010 - These are the 3 days the artists will be present in the museum to meet with you.
The Vernissage is July 22nd 5pm to 8pm - this is an invitation only event.

The Afterparty is July 22nd at the Hudson Hotel from 8pm to 11pm - tickets are $15. To Purchase tickets to this event click here http://divafair.com/divastore/home.php?cat=51 Admission at the museum is a $8.00, $4.00 for students and seniors.
