Benrimon Contemporary is pleased to announce a call for submissions for its first annual Younger than Moses group show, which will take place in August 2010.

Younger than Moses will be an exhibition focusing on the works of living artists that are inventive yet historically based. Following the example of New York’s New Museum, which presented a show entitled Younger than Jesus where all the exhibited artists were under the age of 33 (the age at which Jesus died), Younger than Moses will exclusively feature living artists under the age of 120. Younger than Moses artists can consider the mythology around Moses when submitting works for consideration.

Interested artists should submit an artist statement, brief biography, current contact information, and JPEGs of two different artworks for consideration by June 8, 2010 to submissions@bcontemporary.com. Artists must be available to come to the gallery to install their work and to explain the piece to the staff. Decision will be made by July 6, 2010 and you will be contacted directly if selected.
