The Luminary’s Residency Program is a part of its extensive interaction with the landscape of contemporary art. The Residency Program forms an integral element of its role as an originator of new works as well as providing unparalleled opportunities for artists to engage with the local community. The Luminary Center for the Arts seeks to promote and support exceptional emerging artists by providing a creative environment in which to work, well-equipped studios, an individually structured professional development program, and dedicated financial support. Each resident gains access to resources as diverse as an art and literature library, basic woodworking shop, digital editing equipment, video filming and production equipment, studio lighting, and exhibition space. Offering residencies for three, six and twelve months, with a special interim program designed for graduating students that runs for two months in the summer.
