Qualifications for the Guggenheim IT Department Summer Internship: BA or MA degree program in a relevant field, preferably computer science.  Interest in not-for-profit arts sector is desirable and excellent written and spoken English necessary. All interns participate in the excellent Museum Culture Seminar Program, visiting a wide variety of New York arts institutions and gaining the opportunity to make important contacts for a future career in the museum field. All internships are full-time (3 or 4 days per week) and unpaid.

Information Technology

Interns in the Information Technology Department assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining the information technology infrastructure and applications that enable the museum staff to effectively and efficiently accomplish their goals. IT interns gain hands-on experience in producing the strategies and tactics for introducing new technologies and solutions to further enhance staff productivity. They also learn to how to appropriately respond to user requests for technology assistance on a daily basis and explore new technologies that enhance the visitor experience in the museum itself.</body>
