Apartment share $795 in Forest Hills, Queens

NYAA Alum looking for someone to share the cost of living in NY with!

Looking for a roommate: May-August $795 a month(maybe longer).

About the apartment:
Apartment share/ room for rent in the safest neighborhood in NYC! 5 min walk from train (67th ave station) and shopping, 20 to 25 min to midtown. On border of Forest Hills, but official name of area is Rego park. Forest Hills is also called 5th avenue of Queens. It’s a nice area, Queens Mall 10 min walk, plus parks, restaurants, movies, etc. Room size: 12 × 17 feet. Sunny, top floor in elevator building, room is at far end of apartment & feels private. It is a small 2 bedroom for Queens, huge for NYC! You will have the master bedroom. Large closet in room, some storage space available in the hallway, too. Large kitchen (eat in), big bathroom, modest common area to share. Utilities ~$55 a month (internet/gas/electric. If you want basic cable utilities will be ~$70 a month). The room is unfurnished, although I do have an extra queen size mattress if you need it. Also, I have most everything else one needs in an apartment (cutlery, pots/pans, vacuum cleaner etc.) willing to share if necessary: granted you treat it with respect! Willing to share cost of common used products (toilet paper, dishwash liquid etc).

About me:
Laid-back, clean, hardworking, responsible, friendly, busy female artist/teacher, with two cats. Cats are older, and have their quirks, because they are CATS :). Flexible schedule, but mostly home during the day, and gone in the evenings.

About you:
Please send me info about yourself! Male/female/gay/straight. I prefer female but the best match is determining factor! Looking for somebody with a busy schedule like myself, but you MUST be: responsible, non smoking, cat friendly, clean, quiet/ considerate. Would be great if you would not mind feeding cats when I am home late from work sometimes… Sorry, can’t have anymore pets in the apartment: my cats don’t get along with other animals :(. They will stay OUT of your room if desired. I prefer somebody with a steady income or be a student with loans/support. Deposit and last month’s rent needed to move in. References a plus.

Move in date May 1st.
I look forward to hearing from you!
