SUBLET my room/TAKE OVER LEASE

Hello!

I’m moving to Bushwick in at the end of June and my roommate is moving to DC at the end of July, so my room is available to sublet for the month of July. (July is an extension of our yearlong lease, so after that, you can move, or you also have the option to sign a new lease.) This is an ideal situation for someone who wants a temporary place to stay at while scoping out other apartments in NYC. But if you fall in love with the place, you can sign a new lease with the leasing company: 6th month is free!

Close to:
Franklin Ave Shuttle, C, 2,3,4,5 trains (40 minutes door-to-door to the Academy)
Brooklyn Museum
Botanic Gardens
Public Library and library branches
bars and restaurants on Classon and Washington
farmer’s market at Grand Army Plaza
shopping on Fulton and Washington
20 minute walk to Park Slope and Prospect Park.
Plenty of hardware stores in the area, as well.

About the room: my room is the larger of the two bedrooms, approx 12×14 ft (fits double bed), large windows, large closet, heating/AC unit in room. Wood parquet flooring, walls are painted yellow and tan. It fits a LOT of stuff.

About the apartment: 2br/1bath corner apartment in a new building with an elevator and underground parking garage (bike parking in basement). This apartment gets TONS of light all year round, and since it’s a corner apartment, you only have neighbors on one side. This building is generally quiet and everyone tends to keep to themselves. The block is well lit, safe and quiet. Wood flooring throughout entire apartment, tile in bathroom and kitchen. New appliances in the kitchen, windows in kitchen and common area (like I said before, this apartment gets AMAZING amounts of light at all times of the year). Large bathroom w/tub and shower. There’s also a large balcony which overlooks the street. Additional linen closet in hallway. Laundry across the street, deli and pharmacy at the corner. Super lives on the premises, package acceptance at the rental office, and there is someone in the rental office till 2am every day. I love living here, but I need to downsize and live closer to my studio.

Rent for month of July for my room: $845 + utilities and internet.
I will take pictures of the apartment this weekend, please feel free to call or email me if you are interested, and I can show you the space!
