Dear Alumni,

Would you be interested in attending a Professional Practices weekend workshop with Sharon Louden? One was held just this weekend at the Academy, and it was such a success that we’d like to schedule a session for alumni – if there is enough interest.

Here’s what a 2nd-year student had to say about the workshop:

“[It was] such an amazing workshop this weekend. The advice that Sharon shared with us was priceless when it comes to knowing professional etiquette. She paid special attention to each of us throughout the class and discussed how to go about writing a cover letter, resume, and portfolio. She also discussed how to conduct a studio visit, approach a gallery, organize your artwork, create a contacts database, and so many other wonderful things. This class made me feel like I have more control over my career now, and I know that there are several things I can do to help my career so that I don’t feel like I’m just waiting to be noticed…please have her come back again.”
