Anna Hopfensberger (Munich, Germany) is a painter who explores identity, social
structures, and the relationship between humans, animals, and nature. She earned her
MFA in Painting from the New York Academy of Art in 2025, following studies at the
Art Academy in Kolbermoor, Germany (2019–2022).
Her work has been exhibited internationally in Germany, the United States, the UAE,
Egypt, Italy, and Austria, including museum exhibitions at the National Museum of
Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in Cairo and the Frauenmuseum in Bonn. She has
participated in the World Art Dubai Fair and featured in British Vogue and Tatler (UK).
Rooted in art history and classical literature, her paintings carry layered, often double
meanings. They document our time's social, emotional, and cultural struggles—
capturing what feels urgent, uncomfortable, or unresolved. Each piece is both a
reflection of the present and a conversation with the past.
She lives and works between Munich and New York.
