Crit Nite is a good time to connect with other Academy Alums, put your work in front of critics to get feedback, and share ideas. Join in - the more participants and contributing voices, the better!

GUEST CRITIC: Garrett Klein
Garrett Klein is the co-director, co-curator, and consultant for Massey Klein Gallery, and is responsible for all in-house art handling, shipping and logistics, framing, and photography. Garrett is a seasoned art professional, having worked closely with both emerging and well-established artists internationally. He is also an artist and received formal training in Fine Art at the Fashion Institute of Technology, developing an inherent knowledge of process. He is an expert on all aspects of the art market and facilitates collecting at all levels.
If you would like your work critiqued, use the submission form below to upload your images, formatted to the following specifications.
• Participating alumni must have an active portfolio profile on AANYAA.org. Click here to make your portfolio.
• Your JPG file names must be as follows: LastName_FirstName_TitleOfWork.jpg.
• Please make sure that images are in focus and no smaller than 72 DPI / 1080 pixels wide, with a file size no larger than 5 MB.
• The DEADLINE to submit images is Oct 22, 11:59pm EST.
Submitted images and info may not be changed once submitted through the form.
• Spaces are first come, first serve, with preference given to artists who have not yet presented in the last year.
Please note: this event may be recorded and shared with participants (Zoom invitation sent to our Alumni community via email). While the critique is limited to 6 presenting artists, the Zoom session will be open to the alumni community to watch and join in the conversation.
