My work addresses our ephemeral nature by interpreting the human
condition through art and allegory. Considering issues of anonymity and
history, I address concerns of the self-aware individual burdened by the
weight of the historical past while living through the profound events of our
present day. Working with oil paint, I create mementos of a quintessential
"anonymous man" who makes no real peace with humanity or anonymity. I
rally my artistic endeavors against the forces of eminent historical obscurity
and offer up small documents of my revolts. Through these efforts, I hope
to glimpse some truth about our shared enigmatic existence.
I explore themes of selflessness and sacrifice, the duality of human nature,
and universal questions of existence (the horrors and beauty of life).
