Elena Rodz is an art collector and painter living and working in Corpus Christi, TX.  Heavily influenced by early film narrative techniques, her paintings consist of realistic landscapes and phantasmagorical multi-figure scenes. She eschews metaphor and meaning.

Originally from Dallas, TX, Elena studied painting at Washington University in St. Louis (BFA '07) and the New York Academy of Art (MFA '11). She moved back to Texas in 2013 when she accepted a job at the Rockport Center for the Arts. She was director of their film festival and curator of exhibitions until 2023, when she became manager of recruitment and engagement for Del Mar College's Art & Drama Department.

She has one partner, two cats, and two dogs, and together they can throw one helluva cocktail party.
