With climate change rising and consumerism, I have dedicated a percentage of my creativity and art practice to sustainability and upcycling. I love to see the rebirth in mundane items humans take for granted and find the interconnectivity. With simple with pops of bold streaks, shapes, and color, when it comes to designing and creating, it is important to me that I include recycling, sustainability, repurposing and transformation of materials in my works, whether a story told through a painting, video, fashion or a sculpture or set designs. Once I began painting, I became more aware of everyday life. This made me look deeper into objects and purpose, collecting pink trash and pictures of discarded chairs along the way. I began designing with discarded metals, woods and other materials in an attempts to create something practical and upcycled, yet slick and luxurious, all the while saving the planet one furniture or art piece at a time.

My pursuits in art in New York consist of abstraction meets realism, in both life and art. The black and white meets the colorful art world. Specifically, those moments we aren't able to describe our world, but are meant to stop and feel to appreciate it, whether for its beauty, blandness or chaos.
