Jeff Gipe is an accomplished visual artist and filmmaker, known for works that challenge and provoke contemplation on the far-reaching implications of the US nuclear legacy. His deep connection to this subject matter stems from his upbringing near the Rocky Flats nuclear weapons plant, where his father was employed.

One of Gipe's notable works is the Rocky Flats Cold War Horse, a monument that stands as a testament to the human and environmental toll of Rocky Flats. In addition to his art and film practice, Gipe curates exhibitions, engages in public discourse, and is a contributor to the book Doom with a View: Historical and Cultural Contexts of the Rocky Flats Nuclear Weapons Plant.

Gipe's artwork has been exhibited internationally and featured in prominent publications. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the New York Academy of Art.
