Leda Brittenham grew up in Spafford NY. She studied painting, sculpture and French at SUNY Plattsburgh and spent a semester studying in Aix-en-Provence, France. She moved to Brooklyn in 2016, before pursuing a Masters at New York Academy of Art. Brittenham graduated in May 2019 with an MFA in painting.

She has shown work in Indiana, France, and in New York at Local Project, AHA Fine Art, Tomato Mouse, Lorimoto Gallery and in the Flat File at Deanna Evans Projects among others. She had her first solo exhibition, Expecting a Different Result, at the Stephanie Ann Roper Gallery at Frostburg State University in Frostburg Maryland in October 2023.

Her work was featured on the cover of Jessica Cuello’s Liar, and she was featured in Time Out New York as a part of Ridgewood Open Studios. She received the Scott Moger Research Grant and Golden Colors Artist Award in 2019. She currently teaches Continuing Education courses at the New York Academy of Art. She works in painting, installation, fiber and animation in her studio in Ridgewood, Queens.
