



Ruoyu Gong (b. 1999, Beijing, China) is a New York-based artist. His work explores self deprecating humor through the donkey imagery. Combining oil painting, bas relief sculpture, found objects, and collage, Ruoyu works both meticulously and expressionistically.
In 2025, Ruoyu earned his MFA in Painting at the New York Academy of Art. He graduated with honors in BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2023. In 2021, he received the certificate of Advanced Painting Seminar at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, China.
Ruoyu’s work has been featured in exhibitions internationally.
