The Austrian painter and graphic designer earned her MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art in 1998 and a BFA in communication design from Parsons School of Design in 1995.

Hernuss' truly extraordinary, iconic Emu bird in frontal view, the dazzling figurehead of her artistic voice, inspires and moves the art world with extraordinary "wall power" and high recognition value.

At auctions, in exhibitions, and in gallery windows, her Emus are instant crowd pleasers and cherished selfie backgrounds. Hernuss' Emus have become an integral part of contemporary Pop Art in Europe... not to mention that the flightless bird actually comes from Australia ;-)

In addition, Fiona Hernuss is and has been actively supporting campaigns and awareness events of two, in her opinion particularly meaningful, non-profit organizations for years. With her broad artistic voice, the artist consistantly and reliably raises awareness and/or funds for www.sharkproject.org (shark protection in the world's oceans) and the www.neunerhaus.at in Vienna, AT (against homelessness).
