I am an artist who tries to convey messages through my recent artwork. I believe that we can create a better future by learning from the past. The truth of our beliefs will be judged over time.

I am of Korean-American descent and have studied at the Art Students League of New York and the Cercle Artistic de Sant Lluc in Barcelona, Spain, after receiving my M.F.A. from the New York Academy of Arts in 2001.

Over the years, I have received 33 awards in painting, including the 2024 and 2011 Individual Artist Fellowship Grants from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, Best of Show 2004 from the Heartland Exhibition in Merriam, Kansas, and the Len G. Everett Memorial Award for the Advancement of American Art from the Allied Artists of America in 2002 & 2008.

My artwork has been showcased in over 120 groups, eight solo, and 2-two person exhibitions throughout the U.S., Italy, Spain, Japan, and South Korea. It has also been featured in over 50 critical articles globally. In 2020, I was invited to be one of the 100 Greatest Women Artists in 2020 and the figurative artist of New Jersey by "Figure 50." My Face series, "Winds of Hope," was featured in Creator.VICE in 2017.
