BRIDGES OF BELONGING: WHERE PATHS CONVERGE

SUBMISSION DETAILS

 

FOUNDERS AWARD:

Thanks to the generosity of Seven Bridges Foundation, there is a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place award for three accepted alumni (to be selected by the Jurors, to be announced at exhibition reception). The Founders Award honors the legacy of Richard McKenzie, Founder of Seven Bridges, and his commitment to supporting artists and the continuation of that mission for many years to come.

1st place: $4,000
2nd place: $2,000
3rd place: $1,500

 

DATES:

  • Submissions closed on March 1st, 2025

  • The exhibition will take place for a month in late May/June 2025. Exact dates TBD.

  • Accepted artists will be notified in April with exact details about exhibition date and time. 

 

ELIGIBILITY:

  • This exhibition application is open to all alumni of the Academy's CFA and MFA programs who have graduated prior to June 2024. 

  • ONE SUBMISSION per applicant.

  • Entries must be original to entrant.

  • Artwork created from 2023-2025

  • Paintings, Drawings, and/or Sculptures

  • Curatorial preference may be given to artworks that have been created exclusively for this theme.

  • Maximum dimensions for 2-D work: 48 inches on the longest side, including frame.

  • Maximum weight for 3-D work: 30 lbs

  • All works (exempting freestanding sculptures) must arrive ready to hang; artwork deemed un-hangable may not be shown.

  • Sculptural works should arrive with their own pedestal (there may be a limited number of pedestals, not guaranteed).

  • Artists are responsible for delivery of the accepted works to and from the venue.

 

LIABILITY AND INSURANCE:

  • Works are insured while in the possession of Seven Bridges Foundation. 

 

SALES:

  • Artwork does not need to be for sale, but can be.      

  • Sales and shipment/delivery of work will be arranged between Artist and buyer.

  • Sales will go directly through the Artist who receives 100% of sale.

  • Artwork will be listed on AANYAA.org with instructions for a buyer to contact the artist directly.
